Ranja Hautamäki is associate professor in Landscape Architecture at Aalto University in Finland.

In this video, she talks about how we often tend to focus on one aspect of nature in urban planning rather than understanding and integrating the holistic vision of nature where biodiversity, multispecies and carbon emissions are not isolated factors.

As an example of a balanced relationship between nature and the city, Ranja shows us around the neighbourhood of Tapiola in Espoo, Finland.

Address: Tapiola, 02110 Espoo, Finland.
