Gerard Reinmuth is Director at the Australian Studio Terroir. In this video, he talks about designing a visitor centre for the Puffing Billy Railway located at the Dandenong Ranges, 40 kilometers east of Melbourne, AU.
Instead of the architecture coming to the fore, Terroir worked with the landscape and train travel as the main attractions. The question was how to make The Lakeside Visitor Centre an invisible place nestling in the rainforest.
