Shouldn’t homes be healthy for both people and planet?

Arka visited Living Places, a site that disrupts the traditional way of building, where an alarming amount of resources is used, and access to daylight and fresh air is not always prioritized.

The Living Places concept, developed by Velux in partnership with Artelia and EFFEKT Architects, is an experiment to rethink current building practices. It aims to prove that ultra-low carbon homes with excellent indoor climates can be built using existing materials and technologies. By inviting people to stay and share their experiences, the project also measures the impact on human well-being, challenging the industry to create solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
